We’re back on NZ soil after an incredible trip to the TCS London Marathon! Paul & Rachel led a group of 50 kiwis to take on this historic race.
Returning to London for the first time since the pandemic was a great feeling. London was brimming with people and the vibe in the city was full of energy. It was obvious that people wanted to get out, enjoy the fantastic weather, and celebrate life. What better way than to run 42kms?
We had a large group of runners and walkers participating in this year’s TCS London Marathon and the experience they had during their time in London was amazing. Race Day itself started a little overcast and threatened to rain, but by lunchtime when the crowds of spectators were at their largest, the sun was shining and the skies were an amazing crystal clear blue. It was even warm! All of our travellers successfully completed their Marathon, and it was a joy to watch them cross the finish line.
A trip with Marathon Tours however, is not just about the running…..
Our group enjoyed London’s sights, including sightseeing around the historic city, shopping at the O2 Premium Outlet Malls, and picking up bargains at the Camden Town markets. Many also headed along to see sensational shows in the Westend, including the new Tina Turner play!
It was a great trip with a great group of people, and it’s fair to say that many friendships were formed along the way.
These trips are all about experiencing incredible events and having fun with like minded kiwis. The last two years stopped people from exploring the world and ticketing off their bucket lists. Its great to be back doing what we all love doing.
