- Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building – The race begins at this towering symbol of modern Tokyo, offering panoramic views and a grand architectural send-off.
- Suidobashi – A bustling district near Tokyo Dome, blending sports energy with riverside charm.
- Ueno-hirokoji – A gateway to Ueno’s cultural treasures, where museums, markets, and cherry trees line the streets.
- Kanda – A historic neighborhood known for its old bookstores and academic spirit, echoing Tokyo’s intellectual past.
- Nihombashi – Once the heart of Edo-period commerce, this elegant bridge area connects tradition with Tokyo’s financial core.
- Asakusa Kaminarimon Gate – Runners pass through the iconic red lantern of Kaminarimon, the entrance to the revered Senso-ji Temple.
- Ryogoku – The spiritual home of sumo wrestling, where echoes of ancient bouts meet the cheers of marathon fans.
- Monzen-nakacho – A serene district with deep Shinto and Buddhist roots, offering a peaceful interlude along the course.

- Tamachi – A modern business hub with waterfront views, reflecting Tokyo’s sleek urban evolution.

- Tokyo Station/Gyoko-dori Ave. – The finish line unfolds before the majestic red-brick Tokyo Station, framed by the tree-lined Gyoko-dori Avenue leading to the Imperial Palace.
