Begin this marathon 25 km west of Venice in a little country town called Stra and finish in the historic centre of Venice. Some of the highlights of the run include crossing the Liberty Bridge into Venice, running alongside the Giudecca Canal, passing Piazza San Marco and crossing the finish line in Riva Sette Martiri.

About the Destination
Venice is a splendid and unique city that literally floats on the Venetian lagoon. It is made up of 117 islets and linked by 435 bridges. The waterways in Venice give this city its uniqueness and add to the fabled romance. During your stay you can choose from a number of relaxing activities beginning, of course, with gondola rides complete with traditional serenades. Spend the afternoon at a quaint cafe after a walk through Piazza San Marco and a visit to St. Mark’s Basilica. Or, tour Palazzo Ducale (Doges Palace), a sumptuous palace that was for centuries the seat of government in Venice.
