Where: Dublin, Ireland

The annual Dublin Marathon takes you through the historic Georgian streets of Ireland’s capital city. Internationally known as “The Friendly Marathon” you will be treated to cheers and encouragement from thousands of spectators. The marathon course is a classic city loop run that starts and finishes near Trinity College in the city centre.

  •  Distance: 42.195 km
  •  Fairly flat course with a few climbs
  •  Average temperatures for October are around 12 – 14°C – ideal running conditions

About the Destination

Dublin is fast becoming known as one of Europe’s hippest cities and it has everything going for it. The average age of city dwellers is just 25 years old so it’s no surprise that you will find trendy bars and clubs, great restaurants, and elegant shops and hotels. Dublin also showcases its heritage that comes from being one of Europe’s oldest cities. Strolling along the streets you will see medieval castles, cathedrals, Georgian architecture, and plenty of museums and galleries.
