Here is an opportunity for you to be a part of this magnificent race, known as the father of marathons of today! The race is supported by plenty of cheering spectators and the route is characterised by a relatively flat section for 8-9 kilometres at the beginning, long and gradual uphill climbs, and a fast downhill run at the end. While you are running you will pass villages, farms, banana and coffee plantations, and areas of forest, all under the majestic backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro.

About the Destination
There is plenty to see and do while you are in Tanzania, starting with Mount Kilimanjaro. Situated south of the equator in Tanzania at 5,895 metres, Mount Kilimanjaro is Africa’s highest mountain and the highest free standing mountain in the world. For those that are keen, arrangements can be made to climb this icon of Africa. From there, it’s easy to reach the Serengeti Plain or Ngongoro Crater for some sightseeing before or after the marathon.
