This beautiful point-to-point race starts out in Recreio Beach on the west side of the city, weaves through city streets, takes you for a long run beside the famous coastline and beaches like Copacabana and Ipanema before sending you uphill and finally into Flamengo Park. Comments from people who have run this marathon focus on the beautiful scenery, the long flat stretches along the sea, and the convenience and ease of the check-in process.
